MEAD Fermenting Process
Keep Scrolling To Learn More About Our MEAD Fermenting Process
We have full tranparcency on all our processes.
What is MEAD?
Mead is an alcoholic beverage created by fermenting honey with water, sometimes with various fruits, spices, grains, or hops. The alcoholic content ranges from about 3.5% ABV to more than 18%. The defining characteristic of mead is that the majority of the beverage’s fermentable sugar is derived from honey.
What is Yeast?
Yeast is very simple single celled organism that converts sugar and nutrients into alcohol or other flavors. Its not some special feature of yeast but actualy the way it survives and reproduces as any other living organism. Yeast just give us alcohol as a byproduct of its processing to survive.
It All Starts Here…
We start with mixing water and high grade honey together, leave it for awhile to settle and mix properly.
After it settled and mixed properly we start adding yeast to the honey and water mixture, then the fermenting begins.
The process then all start with a happy little yeast cell that eats the honey/sugar cells and converts it into alcohol and flavoring.
Because we use high grade honey its usualy sweet.

Testing
We use a lab that test all out batches to see alcohol volume and also to produce the highest quality flavours for our customers.
